Five For Friday 3/8/19

1.Medical Stuff:

  • I had my 6 week postpartum appointment on Monday. Everything went well…I cleared for exercise. However, I left out the part that I’ve been exercising the last couple of weeks. Oops…did not know I had to wait for the green light.
  • PT on Tuesday. An hour of exercise, a half hour of manual medicine, and 15 minutes of heat and electrical stim. I’ve missed the stim.
  • One two mile walk with a pitbull. IN SUNSHINE.
  • One Day of Home Rehab…better…still need to add 1-2 more days.

March! Made it to March! Woot! Woot!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Tuesday PT. First couple of ribs sucked. My PT did her best to work her magic. I’m still struggling with my lower back. It’s loose, yet locks up. That’s EDS for ya. Need prolotherapy stat.
  • Had to reschedule my 6 week Postpartum visit for Monday. It’s coming fast!
  • Snuck a few sets of strengthening in when Lucia slept this week. Definitely not enough, but it’s better than last week. Working on it. See below…

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I made my return to PT after six weeks! My joints were a bit of a mess after labor and the break, so I was in desperate need of manual medicine.  I exercised for an hour as well…After the treadmill, I said to myself, “But did you die?” I did not, so I’d call the first day of my comeback a win ; )
  • Now, how do I find time for the other days of home rehab? My next goal…

Five For Friday 2/1/19 & 2/8/19

Yes, two in one again…this is Motherhood. This may be the reality for a while…because when I’m not loving on sweet Lucia, I’m running around the house taking care of other things…and when I get a moment, I just want to sleep…blogging is just not at the top of the list right now.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I made time to see my shrink. Non-negotiable. If I don’t work on keeping my cup full, I will not be able to be the mother I want to be.
  • Still working on the shock of crazy sleep deprivation on my system. Thank God for an amazing husband, and family who lets me nap once in a while.
  • Working on incorporating therapy right now. It’s really, really hard. Like I said, when there is me time right now, I just want to rest.
