Just a "zebra" trying my best to live life to the fullest with EDS and POTS...and loving the ride.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab. On Monday, my ribs were taped and I needed my neck brace. On Wednesday, I didn’t need anything to support my body. EDS and POTS are just plain weird and confusing sometimes.
  • I saw Larry on Monday. I was really hurting when I got to the office. He must have done something magical, as only Larry can do, because as the week went on, I started to feel like I could hold my head up again without my hand or a brace.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I was HURTING. I may or may not have cried some. My neck and ribs were really out of whack so my therapist spent the time doing gentle manipulations to try and get them back into place. She also used kinesio tape to tape my neck to take some of the strain off of it.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. It was a “wear my neck brace while on the treadmill” week. Like I said last week, I think it is time for more prolotherapy.
  • I had my echo that Dr. Grubb ordered a month ago. He likes to have EDS patients checked every two years, mainly for mitral valve prolapse. So far, no news. I figure no news is good news.

Happy New Year, Zebra family!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I am starting to need more manipulation on my ribs and neck, so I am thinking that that is a sign that it’s time for me to schedule another prolotherapy appointment.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab.
  • I know it’s technically not the flu, but after Christmas, I ended up getting the stomach flu. Along with my Mom, Allie, and Brad. I am just starting to be able to look at food again.
  • On a positive note, I have been enjoying sleeping more and sleeping in the last couple of weeks!

I made it! Christmas vacation is here!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I added some crazy hard balance exercises to my program.
  • No days of Home Rehab. I caught what has been going through my classroom and my asthma flared up, making it really hard to breathe. Vick’s and my nebulizer became my BFF.
  • 2 Days of breathing treatments, four times a day.
