Five For Friday 11/17/17
1. Medical Stuff:
- 1 Day of PT. I did a number on my lower back, so there was no “physical” part in my physical therapy that day. Thank goodness for a good PT, some good manipulative medicine, electrical stim, and heat. I could sit down again without almost crying.
- 2 Days of Home Rehab. Core de Force and Treadmill/recumbent bike. Light weights and floor strengthening.
- No doctors.
2. Our second night of parent-teacher conferences was Wednesday. I set a new record. I did not leave school until 9:05 pm. Oof, that was a lot, but I survived and loved talking to our families. We do not get to do it enough! I always learn so much about my kiddos and their families…
3. The bank fraud saga continues. I think it is almost coming to an end (knock on wood), but good lord, is it a pain. Thanks again to Bank of America for making it as painless as possible. Check your accounts daily, people!
4. Dirty Heads! I got a live music fix in last night in Detroit with Brad, and some family and friends. So. Fun. And just what I needed to let loose after a couple of really stressful weeks.
5. Life as a Zebra:
At the concert last night, the security was no joke with metal detectors and security guards checking pockets, purses…everything. The security guard combing through my purse…
SG: What are the pills for?
Me: I have POTS.
SG: Excuse me? Calls another security guard over.
Me: Wait, no! It’s for my heart rate and blood pressure.
SG: Huh?
Me: Allergy medicine! It’s allergy medicine!
SG: Just go, ma’am.
Sigh.
Happy Thanksgiving, friends and family. Wishing all that celebrates a day filled with love, laughter, and gratitude. ~xo
