Five For Friday 12/20/13
With the ice storm, power outages, sick family members, and the holidays I am more BEHIND than usual…
1. Medical Stuff:
- 1 Day of PT.
- 2 Days of Home Rehab.
- Zero doctors.
- Very little sleep.
2. My kids had their holiday concert Wednesday night. They were amazing. Even Santa showed up. Those little ones make me one proud, proud teacher.
3. On Thursday, the Life as a Zebra Foundation board of directors came together for a very productive meeting. So many ideas, so many different talents, so many different thoughts to move us forward with our mission. After meetings like those, I leave feeling pretty great about what we are trying to do. Our zebra team rocks. Now I just need about 24 more hours in the day to work on everything we discussed.
4. ICE DAY! After a week of very little sleep, it was such a blessing when Brad woke me up to tell me we had no school on Friday because of ice. Christmas break had arrived early! I was so glad my kids had had their party on Thursday, but knew many would be bummed because we were supposed to still have pajama and movie day. I have decided since letter “P” week is coming soon, we will celebrate the end of the week with pajama day instead. Crisis (hopefully) averted 🙂
5. Saturday was my niece, Cameron’s 4th birthday party. We made it to Spring Lake and back successfully before the next ice storm hit that knocked out so many’s power. I will leave you with this picture of Cam after she opened her leotard and leg warmers.
WARNING: Cuteness overload.
