Five For Friday 4/17/15
I survived! The benefit came and went in a whirlwind, but it was an incredible night.
1. Medical Stuff:
- 3 Days of Home Rehab.
- No doctors. Back to reality next week. Doctors and PT.
2. Spring parent-conferences are in the books! We achieved 100% parent participation on our first try…no reschedules, no no-shows, no cancellations! My first time in ten years!
3. 20 minutes ago, I just wrote a check for $10,000 for Dr. Grubb’s research on POTS. Talk about a high. Thanks to everyone who have made this possible.
4. Friday, Brad had a conference out of town. I decided to join him and take the day to decompress, reflect, and take a breather. It was such a gorgeous day outside. I did a lot of walking and sitting in the park. It was one of those days that was so good for the soul.
5. Benefit! It’s really, really hard to sum up such a beautiful night in a few words…Chris Trapper and Noah Guthrie put on an incredible show. Dr. Grubb attending meant more than you know. Allie and I often get all of the credit, but Saturday was a labor of love put together by so many friends, family members, board members, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and strangers who have become new friends…It truly does take a village and to watch everything come together after months of work really is a magical thing. Thank you to everyone who was a part of it, everyone who supported us from afar, and everyone who helped us make a difference in the lives of people with invisible illnesses. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and we love you all. We consider you all dream makers…
