Five For Friday 7/18/14
1. Medical Stuff:
- 1 Day of PT. Lots of cardio, strengthening, and cranial. Revisited the conversation again about how much PT is best for me. I still don’t know if we have an answer. It’s been nearly 4 years, and I’m still learning.
- 2 Days of Home Rehab.
- 1 OMM appointment for cranial, neck, and jaw.
2. Last weekend was the annual Jaskolski beach weekend in Spring Lake. It was a much needed, fun-filled weekend with family. In addition to the normal festivities, we pulled off a surprise birthday party for my sister-in-law, Jill. We definitely got her.
3. The majority of this week has been DC prep. Getting our facts and statistics ready, preparing for documentation of the trip, lining up more meetings, writing a one-page document to leave behind with the congressional leaders, speaking to other foundations, buying a new dress : ), etc, etc, etc…Thank you to everyone who weighed in on what you think matters most to communicate in our meetings about invisible illness awareness while we are there. I printed all of your comments and will be taking them with me!
4. We booked a landscaper! I am so excited. After several years of neglecting our yard, we finally have a landscaping date set up for August. No more of the jungle/weed look we have been going for the last 6 years.
5. This video is something that REALLY touched me this week. Like snot bubbles, crying my eyes out, kind of touched me. You know when you see something, and it just feels like it arrived at exactly the right time? This was one of those times for me. Maybe some of you will appreciate it as well.
It’s going to be a busy week ahead! Praying for a lot of “spoons!”
