50 Goals For 2012

  1. Get new countertops.
  2. Install a new over-the-stove microwave.
  3. Walk a 5k.
  4. Run through sprinklers.
  5. Write letters to people who inspire me.  I think they should know.
  6. Start a will.
  7. Have a garage sale.
  8. Save enough to buy an SLR camera and learn how to use it.
  9. Visit Philly.
  10. Join Pinterest and create.
  11. Organize the basement.
  12. Choreograph a dance.
  13. Landscape.
  14. Attend Andy’s Ranger graduation.
  15. Continue weekly date nights.
  16. See someone new in concert: Ray LaMontagne, Coldplay, Frog Holler…?
  17. Figure out how to balance posting what I want to post on my blog with working and rehab and life in general.
  18. Hang pictures and art on our walls.
  19. Take the 3 credit reading class I need to get my Professional Teaching Certificate.
  20. Make progress on making my dream of organizing a fundraiser for invisible illnesses come true.
  21. Go to Silver Bells.
  22. Use more coupons.
  23. Dama-Herner Vacation.
  24. Visit the Cross in the Woods with my mother-in-law.
  25. Visit the Grotto at Notre Dame.
  26. Learn how to make my Dad’s spaghetti sauce.
  27. Take Vitamin D.
  28. Continue to advocate and educate about EDS and POTS (including myself).
  29. Go on a getaway trip with Brad, just us.  Doctor’s trips do not count.
  30. Come to terms that resting “is” doing something.
  31. Begin juicing again.
  32. Work on forgiving myself for the things I cannot control.
  33. Be able to continue working.
  34. Continue Mommy-Daughter time on Sunday afternoons.
  35. Instead of focusing on just my larger muscles, focus more on strengthening my smaller muscles.
  36. Give more to our church.
  37. Make progress on starting a family.
  38. Getter better at not wasting the energy I do have on caring what other people think.
  39. Do something I am afraid of.
  40. Spend time in my happy places.  Like the beach!
  41. Track my blood pressure, heart rate changes, and symptoms more regularly.
  42. Finish all the little odds and ends in the house that need to be completed.
  43. Take Grandma Midge out to eat.
  44. Continue a disciplined home-rehab program.
  45. Go see a play.
  46. Clean out all of our files.
  47. Learn more about personal training and foster care.
  48. Get a credit card (with rewards) for emergencies only.
  49. Figure out the best choice for a new car when my lease is up.
  50. Pay the kindness forward that has been shown to me.
