Five For Friday 9/8/17

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had two doctor’s appointments scheduled, but ended up canceling. My body needed me to clear my schedule to get used to school, and I am so glad that I did. I’m making a mental note about this for next September.
  • One Labor Day Infusion. I spent my infusion writing! See below!
  • My body is struggling. That is just honest…and normal. September is my hardest month as I adjust back to school. So if you don’t hear from me much, you know why.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • One Day of PT. My thoracic was super locked up. We don’t usually crack me, but that day was an exception.
  • No Home Rehab. This is not an excuse; there is never an excuse, but my week was insane and I didn’t get it in.
  • No doctors. Just a lot of everything else!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I met with a new primary care doc, and I really liked her. This has been my missing link from my medical team for a while. I am optimistic she will be able to take over, AND she does OMM too. Bonus.
  • 1 Day of PT. Elliptical, bike, small weights, foam roller, and OMM!
  • 2 Days of Home rehab.
  • I went to Indiana on Wednesday for a TMJ follow up. My specialty mouthpiece was adjusted and I had PROLOTHERAPY from a doc other than Dr. Cantieri. That was a first. Dr. Klauer did my jaw, upper neck, and inside my mouth. I wasn’t even that sore.

30 Things: Invisible Illness Week 2013

Written by Katie. Posted in About Me, Chronic Illness, Ehlers-Danlos Awareness, Invisible Illness, POTS Awareness, Questions

Hi friends! Invisible Illness Week is fast approaching (September 9-15). I was asked to fill this out, and just before I was about to respond with, “I already did it two years ago,” I thought about it and realized a lot has changed in two years.  Therefore, some of my answers are different and some have remained the same.  I wanted to post it early, before school starts, since I am unsure how my body will respond or adjust to being back to work again.  So here you go. My 30 things.
