Five For Friday 7/11/14

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had my July appointment with Larry. Lots of cranial, neck, and upper back OMM.
  • Tuesday I went to U of M for my yearly Gastroparesis check up. I was given an EKG because I am on Domperidone, and everything looked good. My doc wants me to have the Hydrogen Breath Test (because of my flares) which is to check to make sure I have the good kind of bacteria in my stomach. I am also to return in six months for a check up and a meeting with their nutritionist.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Out of my boot!
  • No PT. My therapist is still away.
  • Ended up in Urgent Care with an infected toe. Taking antibiotics now…I’m not sure what is up with my feet and summer so far!

May! Which means Vasculitis awareness month, Ehlers-Danlos awareness month, and so many more…

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I did my strengthening and cardio work, and then we focused a lot on my thoracic junction and lower ribs. Every once in a while, this area flares up and it’s a matter of heat, Biofreeze, OMM, and just riding it out until it passes. Hopefully this will happen sooner than later!
  • On a more positive note, I had a glorious week of sleep. Knock on wood that this stretch continues…
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. I had to modify my exercises a bit because of my thoracic pain, but I got both days in!

Five For Friday 4/18/14

The 3rd annual is in the books! I will need to devote a whole post to the night…and figure out what words I can use to really express the emotions I continue to feel over the incredible generosity, love, and support we have received from so many who have embraced us and our cause. It is hard to put the grandiosity of these emotions into words, but I will try my best…I will try to get to work on that soon. I will also post Allie and my speeches.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • As expected, I became pretty sick after the event. I crashed hard. I had to cancel PT and I only got in one day of home rehab. I am thankfully slowly starting to feel better. But again, I do not want to complain. It was definitely worth the crash…
  • No doctors. This upcoming week, I am back at my intensive doctor and therapy schedule.
  • I’m sleeping a little better now…3:30 am has been my buddy this week so hopefully I will start sleeping through the nights again. Every single symptom is better when I sleep. I’m sure many of you can relate.
