Five For Friday 11/23/18

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I had my 32 week OB check on Tuesday. This appointment was about all of the things we need to think about…and have not yet. Things like having a pediatrician in place. Guess what is on my to do list for this week??? Heartbeat and measurements were good and I only gained 1 pound in a month. Bonus. I begin the baby non-stress tests in a few weeks…
  • I’ve done really well this pregnancy, but I can honestly say in the last week, I have crossed over to the uncomfortable zone. Eye on the prize.
  • Short week. No PT appointments. Walks outside and a sad amount of strengthening. I don’t care how giant you feel, step it up, Katie…; )

Five For Friday 6/2/17

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. It was after field day so I had been running around in the sun for three hours. I had to suck up my pride and admit that it was probably best if we did heat, stim, and OMT only. That’s really hard to do sometimes.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab.
  • No doctors. I am trying to keep my schedule clear these last weeks of school, because I have learned from other years how hard the end of the year is on my body. Maybe I do get a teeny-tiny bit smarter with age…it’s all about pacing… ; )

My Top 20 for Planning an Event

Written by Katie. Posted in Fundraisers, Memorable Experiences

So needless to say, I learned a LOT from planning “An Evening With Chris Trapper To Benefit Invisible Illnesses.” These “lessons” will definitely come in handy as we begin planning the second annual.

Here’s my Top 20:

1. Get a venue secured first, and put it in writing that it is secured. Otherwise you will be scrambling, panicking, and using up all your cell phone minutes trying to find a new venue, because the other one fell through. (Thank you Lou and Harry’s!)
