Five For Friday 2/1/14

February! Whoa!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • This was one of those weeks I felt like I lived at the doctor.
  • 1 Day of PT. Planks, planks, and more planks.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. I upped my treadmill incline this week.
  • I saw my psychiatrist on Tuesday. In 15 years, I can honestly say I have always left his office able to breathe so much better. Tuesday was no different. I told him he is never, ever allowed to retire. We changed my meds a bit, and I will be seeing him bi-weekly for the time being. I am always reminded after those appointments that working on my mental health is just as important as working on my physical health.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. My PT has a new student working with her for the next ten weeks so I did a lot of explaining about everything that is EDS and POTS.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I slept better all week. Dear Sleep Gods, please let it continue.
  • I have noticed that this extreme cold we are experiencing has been wreaking some havoc on my joints and circulation. Spring can come anytime…I’d even take 15 degrees at this point.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 day of PT. I met another patient with EDS!
  • 1 class of Zumba. An hour and a half of Zumba with Denise is no joke.
  • 1 day of home rehab.
  • I was supposed to go to Mishawaka (IN) to get prolo shots on Thursday but had to cancel because of weather. I’m rescheduled for Friday so fingers crossed that the weather cooperates.

What. A. Week.

Not in a bad sense whatsoever…It was just a bit crazy at times, extremely busy, and quite magical.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • No PT.
  • 2 workouts at the Michigan Athletic Club (My teaching partner gave me a 7 day “friends and family” pass so Allie and I lived it up at the MAC on Monday and Tuesday).
  • No doctors (2 weeks in a row. That must be some kind of RECORD).
  • I have started sleeping again (Knock on wood). Crazy how a break can help with that.
