Whoa. It’s been a while. Thought I’d drop a line and let you know five things that have been keeping me busy during this quarantine…72 days of quarantine so far to be exact.

1. I obtained the secret recipe for pumpkin bars. It has always been my favorite treat. I would bring it for my birthday in elementary school every year. Well, I got the recipe and baked those bad boys. The actual pumpkin bar tasted exactly the same as the OG but I quickly realized the frosting was too runny and needed some thickening.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Back at it, after nose surgery. And I was dripping sweat. Those are the best workouts. Heat, stim, and OMM too.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. More dripping. It felt good.
  • One WERQ workout in Chicago. I am obsessed. It needs to come to Lansing nowwwww please.
  • I saw my OMM doc on Friday. My ribs were NOT behaving. Now, they are behaving a teeny bit better. I think I overdid my arm workouts this week.
  • I saw my shrink on Monday. I’m running out of adjectives for that man. Extraordinary will do for today.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! I am celebrating by pretending my Miralax/Gatorade mixture is a Margarita! Oh, EDS, you are so fun sometimes!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 day of PT. The usual.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. The usual.
  • Still navigating our new insurance. It feels like a full time job at times. Ugh.
  • I saw my OMT doc. My ribs and head needed much love. Our goal was to get me headache free before I left. I did feel better so I took that as a win.

Five For Friday 4/7/17

April! Already one week in! Howwwwwwwwwwwww?

1. Medical Stuff:

  • No PT. My PT is in Mexico.
  • 3 HARD Home Rehab workouts. Trying to tone more; especially my back, thighs, and core.
  • Had my bi-annual echo to make sure all is good with my heart. EDS can affect anything so it’s important I get an echo every couple of years. I will get the report in a week. Oh yea, the hospital had a code red while I was there. Never dull.
  • I had an infusion Wednesday night. I made the most of it with trashy TV, warm blankets, and fun nurses to chat with.
  • I saw my shrink on Thursday. Are you gathering how sexy my spring break has been? ; )
