Five For Friday 4/10/15
1. Medical Stuff:
- 1 Day of PT.
- 1 Day of Home Rehab.
- No doctors.
2. Spring break was a serious sleep deprived, POTSy blur if I am being honest. It was extremely intense with benefit preparations, but I am thankful I had the time…not sure how I could have done it without having that week.
3. Monday and Tuesday were spent only on media. 4:00 am wake ups. I was lucky to have the opportunity to spread the word about invisible illnesses and the benefit on WMMQ, News 6, WKAR Current State, LCC Radio, and Fox 47.
4. Wednesday, I spent writing…writing, writing, and more writing…what I wanted to say that night, how we wanted the program to flow, introductions, etc…Thursday I worked in my classroom and made all the last minute benefit connections I needed to make, and Friday the only thing I can remember is getting a glorious pedicure in a massage chair with my Mom and Allie.
5. Lansing State Journal did a really nice story on the foundation and the work we do. I was truly blown away because I expected only a blurb. When I walked into WMMQ to do an interview, I believe “Holy Crapballs” came out of my mouth when I saw me in my classroom on the front page. You can read the article here:
I’m always, always, always thankful for the chance to communicate awareness.
