Five For Friday 1/10/20

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Still fighting insurance. Still paying out of pocket for PT. My doctor wrote me an amazing letter advocating for me. We will see, but rest assured, I am not backing down for anything.
  • I had an infusion. Two bags of fluid. I finally remembered to bring my blanket and it made those three hours so. much. better.
  • One session of PT. Body was a mess after three weeks away. Thank God for manual medicine.
  • I began Morning Meltdown. I committed to 100 workouts. I look pretty ridiculous because I do it in my sports bra, underwear, tennis shoes, neck, and back brace in my basement. I figure sweat is sweat, right?! There’s no wrong way to get it done.

Man, this was A WEEK. I have not been this happy to see Friday in a long time.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Home Rehab workouts including my first Core De Force workout which I LOVED.
  • NO PT this week. My PT was out of town.
  • I saw my shrink on Monday. The appointments I usually think I don’t have much to discuss are usually the ones that end up being the most cathartic.
  • My joints have pretty much hated me this week. Temperature change?

1. Medical Stuff:

  • My latest EDS Fun: JAW. FLARE. It keeps dislocating on the left side. I’ve been living on my heating pad. Fun times.
  • 4 Home workouts this week: 21 Day Fix, PIYO Sweat, 10 miles on the Recumbent Bike, Running and a lot of core. I think I may have overdid it a bit. I will be taking it easy this weekend.
  • I had an OMM appointment on Thursday. My doctor kept putting my jaw into place, and it kept popping out. She told me to take it easy to try and get it to calm down. Do you know how hard it is to try not to yawn?!?!

Friday the 13th!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. A lot of rib OMM and cranial work after cardio and strengthening.
  • I’ve been doing various Beachbody exercise programs and I like the variety. I am figuring out how to modify as I go. So far, I have done 21 Day Fix Cardio, 21 Day Fix Pilates, and PiYO Sweat.
  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had a procedure done yesterday where I had to be put under. It went well. I am just SORE today, but will be back in action soon. Meanwhile I am getting in some good sleep and a lot of one-on-one time with my heating pad. HOT.

  • Infusion on Wednesday.
  • PT on Thursday.
  • 3 Home Workouts. 21 Day Fix, and treadmill and bike.
  • I LOVE Shakeology. I have found something with having gastroparesis that fills me up, gives me so many nutrients, and is gentle on my gut. Let me say it again, louder I LOVE IT.
