1. Medical Stuff:

  • This medical version is dedicated to my Dad. I’ve been in Chicago all week with my sister, Mom, and him since he had back surgery at Rush University on Tuesday.
  • 3 Days of Home Rehab in the Chicago gym hotel. No excuses.

Slow down summer! You’re half over!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I had my Septoplasty post-op on Tuesday. Everything looked great, and I have officially “graduated.” Two weeks later, I am SO glad I did it. I can breathe out of my left side, and therefore breathe correctly for the first time ever.
  • I am able to work out again too! I got two workouts in this week. It’s crazy how fast you lose endurance and muscle. Time to get serious again.
  • I can blow my nose again, guys. If you haven’t been able to blow your nose for two weeks too, you know how HUGE this is. Ahhh.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 OMT Appointment.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab.
  • 1 Day of PT. So much sweat!
  • I finally had the septoplasty (my deviated septum was corrected) on Wednesday. After a year of various tests and discussing it, I pulled the trigger and went for it.
  • Lots of fun recovery time for my nose. The first few days were no picnic, but life is getting much better day by day.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I am beginning to incorporate more breathing exercises into my program. I do way too much breathing with my ribs and chest, and need to do more with my diaphragm.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. The usual.
  • I saw my shrink on Tuesday…such a valuable hour.
  • I saw Larry for our monthly appointment on Wednesday. He did a lot of OMM work on my first rib, neck, and jaw…over an hour and 20 minutes. And we did a lot of laughing. Those appointments are my fave.
