THREE WEEKS?! That is a record. I’m slacking…but that also means I’m living life, soaking every bit of summer, and trying to be present for all of it!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Like 6 PT sessions. 8 Home Rehab sessions. One shrink session. Lots of OMT.
  • Prolotherapy in Indiana. I’m gonna keep attacking the hip until it decides to cooperate. Back again in 6 weeks.

I’ve been on vacation…sweet, sweet vacation, so here is my up north version…

1. Medical Stuff:

  • NO appointments. First time all summer.
  • I joined a gym in Suttons Bay for the week to get my rehab done. I went three days, and each day completed 45 minutes of cardio, 15 minutes of strengthening, and 5 minutes of stretching. I was planning on going our last morning there, but my brother in law made everyone a huge breakfast that morning so the food won out…obvi.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I killed it this week. Back to cardio and lots of strengthening. Woot.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Intervals on the treadmill=lots of sweat.
  • I saw my new primary care doc. So happy I switched. She rocks.
  • I went to the doc because I convinced myself that I had skin cancer on my face. Turns out it’s an age spot. Nice.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I picked up my new glasses. Bad news…they are still making me sick. What the heck?! I have never had this problem before. I will be making a call on Monday.
  • I had my 6 month dental cleaning. 33 and still no cavities!
  • I went to U of M on Tuesday to see my GI doc who specializes in Gastroparesis. I am managing fairly well, so he rewrote my Domperidone script (I only take it for flares), and we discussed going Gluten Free for a month to see how I feel. He busted out laughing when I blurted, “BUT I’M ITALIAN.” We talked about how it really is not that daunting, and we both came to the conclusion that it would be worth a month of trying.
  • Stupid, stupid, POTS induced insomnia. I don’t have time for no sleep!
