1. Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had my July appointment with Larry. Lots of cranial, neck, and upper back OMM.
  • Tuesday I went to U of M for my yearly Gastroparesis check up. I was given an EKG because I am on Domperidone, and everything looked good. My doc wants me to have the Hydrogen Breath Test (because of my flares) which is to check to make sure I have the good kind of bacteria in my stomach. I am also to return in six months for a check up and a meeting with their nutritionist.

Happy Birthday, America!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • One day of PT. First time back on the elliptical after being out of the boot. Also, I worked a lot on scap fire exercises.  My traps love to fire instead of my scaps which gives me a lot of the neck pain (and therefore, headaches) I experience, so it’s a matter of me consistently retraining my scap muscles to do the work.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • 1 Shrink Appointment. Striving for balance in all areas of life.

  • Ended up in Urgent Care with an infected toe. Taking antibiotics now…I’m not sure what is up with my feet and summer so far!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab: Recumbent Bike, and floor strengthening.
  • Zero doctors and zero physical therapy (my therapist is away right now).
  • I am officially scheduled to see Dr. Lavallee in July! It will be my first time seeing him since he moved from South Bend to York, PA. The road trip will be a lot but I am confident it will be worth it. That man is one of my heroes.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 day of home rehab and zero PT. I spent a lot of time with my new BFF, the recumbent bike in my basement.
  • 1 shrink appointment. 1 hour of perspective, reflecting, and clarifying.
  • What a weird week! Soooooo I did this by dropping a table on my foot cleaning my classroom, which took up a lot of my week with workman’s comp paperwork and all of the questions that accompany that, along with 3 doctor’s appointments. After going back and forth about whether it was broken or not, the final verdict was I have an old break on the side of my foot (which does not hurt), but I just bruised the top of my foot. I am already out of my robo boot less and less. Feeling grateful and relieved I am not stuck in it for 6 weeks like they originally thought.  Katie Boot
