Five For Friday 2/6/15

Written by Katie. Posted in Five For Friday

I still can’t post pics, so for now, just words will have to do…

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I was supposed to have PT on Monday BUT after 12+ inches of snow, I had to cancel after watching many, many cars get stuck on our street.  Soooo, I walked to my parents house and used their treadmill and strengthening equipment instead. No excuses.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had prolotherapy yesterday! It had been six months…Probably about a month too long…We got to Indiana without any problems. I got my zillion shots, and have been laying low since. Now, we will see if I can last another six months.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I was HURTING. I may or may not have cried some. My neck and ribs were really out of whack so my therapist spent the time doing gentle manipulations to try and get them back into place. She also used kinesio tape to tape my neck to take some of the strain off of it.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. It was a “wear my neck brace while on the treadmill” week. Like I said last week, I think it is time for more prolotherapy.
  • I had my echo that Dr. Grubb ordered a month ago. He likes to have EDS patients checked every two years, mainly for mitral valve prolapse. So far, no news. I figure no news is good news.

Five For Friday 11/21/14

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I had a better week. Especially with sleep, and therefore keeping symptoms at bay. Hoping this continues, and feeling grateful for better days.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I saw Larry on Tuesday. He put my ribs back into place and did cranial OMM on me.
  • I saw Dr. Rosen (shrink) after Larry on Tuesday. We discussed my recent med adjustments, and the best ways to cope through this flare. We came up a with a log I will be keeping for now, with information about each day (flares, no flares, where I am at in my cycle, medication info, how I feel, any differences to note, etc…)
  • I spent a lonnnnnggggg, but very worthwhile day in Toledo on Thursday seeing Dr. Grubb for POTS. I will try and blog about my appointment later.
