Five For Friday 3/9/12

Written by Katie. Posted in Five For Friday

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab.  My hip has calmed down quite a bit.  Knock on wood.
  • I had my monthly appointment with Larry today.  I had a lot of OMM done on my back, hip, neck, and jaw.  I also had to suck down a packet of soy sauce to try to raise my blood pressure [GAG ME].  You should have seen the nurse’s face when she read my blood pressure on the machine (70/40).  I learned today that apparently that BP reading is quite worrisome.  No wonder I had a major headache, felt like a space cadet, and was seeing spots.  I must start monitoring it more regularly.

Five For Friday 2/3/12

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I was supposed to start back at PT again on Thursday, but ended up going to a funeral, so my new start date is now on February 16.
  • I had my bi-weekly manipulative appointment.  My doc worked a lot on my stubborn ribs.  I think I am going to start calling her “magic fingers.”

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had my 6 month cleaning at the dentist.  I received a better report with the flossing.
  • I had my second treatment with my cranio-sacral therapist.  I am finding that these appointments are ones that I am actually looking forward to.  Gotta love relief.

Five For Friday…4 days Late

Time got away from me!  I know excuses, excuses.  Everyone has one.

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had my GI follow-up at U of M.  The plan is to continue doing what I’m doing since I am managing things fairly well with Domperidone, eating small meals, and eating a lot less bread-like things.
  • I had my first appointment with my new cranio-sacral therapy doc.  She was A.MAZ.ING.  My ribs felt better when I left, and let’s just say she is very, very interested in my health.  She was going home to study more about EDS.  I think this may be the start of a beautiful thing.  I see her again in two weeks.
