Five For Friday 1/27/12

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had my 6 month follow-up with Bev (Dr. Grubb) for POTS on Monday.
  • I had my yearly EDS follow-up with Dr. Lavallee on Thursday.
  • My ribs feel like they are going to collapse.  Not cool.  Not cool at all.

After a week of traveling, teaching, appointments, and rehab, this pretty much sums it up for me tonight…

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had my 6 month cleaning at the dentist.  I received a better report with the flossing.
  • I had my second treatment with my cranio-sacral therapist.  I am finding that these appointments are ones that I am actually looking forward to.  Gotta love relief.

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.
  • No PT. My PT was on vacation all week.
  • I saw Dr. Rosen.  It had been a while and was a very timely visit.  Basically the quote of the hour (or theme, I guess you could say) was “Uncertainty is a bi%$#.”  This zebra HATES uncertainty.

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • 1 Day of PT.
  • I finally got a medical ID bracelet.  I ordered it 3 days ago and it came today.  I went with the simplest, cheapest bracelet I could find.  It is like a Livestrong bracelet with a stainless steel plate.  The plate fits five lines of text.  I paid $15 total including shipping.

Sorry, guys. You can't have my husband's digits 🙂

30

My 29th birthday was much different than my 30th.  Not necessarily better; just very, very different.  It is amazing to me what a difference a year makes.  I guess the way you could compare the difference between the two birthdays is that, 29 was different than anything I have ever experienced, while 30 was back to being “normalish.”
