Five For Friday 1/4/19

Happy New Year, friends!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • One session of PT. We skipped all exercise and went for only OMT. My PT made sure my joints were as “in” as he could get them.
  • Had my 38 weeks (and 3 day) check this morning. Stress test, ultrasound, and doc visit. Everything checked out great. To say I am starting to get anxious is the understatement of 2019. When are you coming, Baby J?! One sign of progress: the head was lower today than last week.

Catching up…better late, than never!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I got the cyst on my head removed for the THIRD time. They had to cut deeper and I got 7 stitches. Holy headache, the next day. It was not fun, but I survived with Tylenol, ice, and a heating pad. I’ll spare you the pics since it’s super gross. My dermatologist says it should not come back so here’s hoping!
  • 1 Day of PT. Lots of cranial work because of so much head pain (see above).
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Trying to get all the cardio in I can get outside before it’s way too cold.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Lots of OMM on the good ol’ neck and jaw. Light strengthening. Stim.
  • Walked in the neighborhood 5 out of seven days.
  • Infusion on Thursday. Probably the fastest one I ever had.
  • Acupuncture on Wednesday. First time I did not fall asleep.
  • More blood work. How do I have any left?!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. We have a working treadmill! I hear about so many peeps who hate treadmills, but I love that thing with my whole EDS heart.
  • 1 Day of PT. My left first rib is so messed up, I could barely exercise. Gah. My PT tried his best to work it back into place, and we did stim and heat, but I am wearing my collar as we speak, to try to get it to continue to calm down. My ribs and me. A constant battle. That shall be my book title one day.
  • I had my first acupuncture appointment with Dr. Tan. I fell asleep! I think that is a good sign…I’m going back Thursday, and am going to try weekly for a while.
