Five For Friday 5/13/16

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. More core stability exercises, and a lot of OMM on my gut to try and help with my lingering gastroparesis flare.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Treadmill and strengthening.
  • I resorted to eating smoothies, soup, yogurt, and more liquid-y fun foods this week since my gastroparesis decided to act up and stick around. I miss FOOD!
  • I saw Larry on Thursday. I had my first cupping experience and I’m not sure about it yet…It felt strange…I’d like to try it again on my back. We did it on my stomach while I had acupuncture needles in my legs…Larry worked on me afterwards and tried to get my thoracic area all put back together. My ribs and stomach are angry right now, but luckily he was able to give me a bit of relief.

Five For Friday 3/25/16

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Cardio, scap strengthening, and gentle manipulation on my neck.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. High incline treadmill work and floor strengthening with light weights.
  • I had an OMM appointment on Thursday. My jaw and sacrum were dislocated so she spent the time working on getting me back into place.

  • 1 Day of PT. It was a “calm down my ribs” kinda session. Plus elliptical and thoracic exercises.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • 1 OMM appointment for cranial-sacral therapy.
  • My body is still anti-nap. I don’t understand.

Well, I am another year older!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab. Treadmill and recumbent bike, with some light weights and strengthening exercises thrown in!
  • My PT was out of town this week…
  • No doctors either. Pretty quiet week. I like those : )
  • I scheduled my next Dr. Grubb appointment. I was supposed to see him in November, but I could not get in until mid-January. Actually, that’s not bad for him.
  • My body has decided this week it does not need naps. I disagree. A lot.
