Five For Friday 3/27/15

Written by Katie. Posted in Five For Friday

This one is gonna be short and sweet. I have a to-do list the size of an elephant.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of home rehab and no PT. Definitely not enough. Feeling it in my joints.
  • No eye twitch (Henry) in a week! Ear acupuncture is magical!
  • I saw my shrink on Thursday. As always, that hour helped me breathe better and see things more clearly. Love my mental health time.

Five For Friday 3/13/15

I stayed home from school yesterday…to rest. My body has been telling me in more ways than one that it needed some recovery time…and I listened. Maybe I am getting a bit wiser in my older age : )

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I saw my Pulmonologist on Monday. I love when I hear the word “normal” from a doctor. My breathing tests were all NORMAL.
  • I saw Larry on Tuesday for more OMM; ribs, cranial, and TMJ.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I got my glasses back for the third time. It’s true! The third time IS the charm! They do not make me sick. Yesssss.
  • Going on my third straight week of my left eye twitching. I’m trying not to worry. But I’m Katie…I’ve named it Henry. I hope Henry goes away really, really soon.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I had to cancel PT on Monday. I felt sick after school, and was worried about driving.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I saw my shrink on Tuesday. It was a needed appointment to talk meds, and figure out how to cope with this latest flare. Love him.
  • I still had a week of struggling with POTS, and therefore sleep. I started a new med, and am really, really, REALLY looking forward to feeling like my body is somewhat cooperating with me again.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I had Graston’s therapy on my shoulders and neck along with the normal exercises and cardio.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had a really rough week with POTS and therefore, insomnia, which many of you know becomes a vicious cycle. I ended up at the ER last night after 7 days of no sleep and a lot of chest pain. Plus, I know by now when I am dehydrated. My meds were adjusted a bit, I was given fluids, blood work was taken, and luckily my EKG was okay. Hoping this flare will pass quickly. Fingers crossed.
