If you have been following, you know I had my chance to cross off one of my goals for the year last week, which was to work out with the incredible Dr. Lavallee.   Back in January I had asked him at my yearly EDS check-up if he would ever be willing to work out with me.  He laughed a little, I think taken by surprise, and said, “But I don’t think you need to learn many of the exercises I do…I think you are doing well managing your EDS so far on your own. “

  • I’m back from Philly.  What a fabulous, hot girls trip!  Did I mention hot?  If these are June and early July temps, then I am scared for August.  My POTS is being a trooper, but it definitely does not like these 100 degree days one little bit.  Thank goodness for AC.

1.  Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had my 6 month follow-up with Bev (Dr. Grubb) for POTS on Monday.
  • I had my yearly EDS follow-up with Dr. Lavallee on Thursday.
  • My ribs feel like they are going to collapse.  Not cool.  Not cool at all.

After a week of traveling, teaching, appointments, and rehab, this pretty much sums it up for me tonight…

Five For Friday +1…7/8/11

1.  Medical Stuff
  • 1 Day of PT.  Had a re-eval and made a few new goals.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • Had my monthly Larry appointment.  We talked a lot about future goals, while he did some gentle manipulative medicine on my neck.
  • I saw Dr. Rosen.  To be honest there was not much of a theme to this appointment.  Even though I was all over the place, I still think I sorted a few things out in my crazy, jumbled up mind.  It always helps me to be able to really talk things through.
