1. Medical Stuff:

  • Knocking on wood big time BUT I think I may have turned the corner for the better with POTS. My super bendy fingers and toes are crossed tight.
  • 1 Day of PT. Graston’s Therapy on my quads.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • 1 shrink appointment.
  • I saw Dr. Winkler on Thursday for OMM.
  • Started an antibiotic for a sinus infection.

Five For Friday 10/24/14

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I had Graston’s therapy on my shoulders and neck along with the normal exercises and cardio.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I had a really rough week with POTS and therefore, insomnia, which many of you know becomes a vicious cycle. I ended up at the ER last night after 7 days of no sleep and a lot of chest pain. Plus, I know by now when I am dehydrated. My meds were adjusted a bit, I was given fluids, blood work was taken, and luckily my EKG was okay. Hoping this flare will pass quickly. Fingers crossed.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 3 Days of Home Rehab: Recumbent Bike, and floor strengthening.
  • Zero doctors and zero physical therapy (my therapist is away right now).
  • I am officially scheduled to see Dr. Lavallee in July! It will be my first time seeing him since he moved from South Bend to York, PA. The road trip will be a lot but I am confident it will be worth it. That man is one of my heroes.

We Have Launched!

Dear Family, Friends, Supporters, and Fellow Zebras,

Finally!

After months, and days, and hours, and hours…and more hours of planning, we are finally ready to launch ticket sales for our 3rd Annual, “An Evening with Chris Trapper and Tony Lucca to Benefit Invisible Illness Awareness and Research.”

There have been many meetings so far.  So many triumphs.  So many acts of kindness and generosity.  So many emails.  And yes, even a few frustrations and tears along the way.  I have learned that just goes with the territory.

Two years ago, the dream was born for Allie and me.
