Five For Friday 7/28/17

Here goes, Five for Friday: Vacation Edition…My favorite week of the year!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • No docs! No PT!
  • Andy and I found a teeny-tiny gym on vacay and we went three times. I had three very different, very hard workouts, and a lot of whiffs of Subway while I was there. It was right next store, and every time someone went in, Subway sandwiches was all I could smell…Not my favorite smell while working out, but I lived through it. ; )

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Back at it, after nose surgery. And I was dripping sweat. Those are the best workouts. Heat, stim, and OMM too.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. More dripping. It felt good.
  • One WERQ workout in Chicago. I am obsessed. It needs to come to Lansing nowwwww please.
  • I saw my OMM doc on Friday. My ribs were NOT behaving. Now, they are behaving a teeny bit better. I think I overdid my arm workouts this week.
  • I saw my shrink on Monday. I’m running out of adjectives for that man. Extraordinary will do for today.

Slow down summer! You’re half over!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I had my Septoplasty post-op on Tuesday. Everything looked great, and I have officially “graduated.” Two weeks later, I am SO glad I did it. I can breathe out of my left side, and therefore breathe correctly for the first time ever.
  • I am able to work out again too! I got two workouts in this week. It’s crazy how fast you lose endurance and muscle. Time to get serious again.
  • I can blow my nose again, guys. If you haven’t been able to blow your nose for two weeks too, you know how HUGE this is. Ahhh.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Recovery, recovery, recovery. NO PT, no home rehab. (I wasn’t allowed to because of the septoplasty, so just good ol’ RECOVERY.
  • Monday, I had to get my nose splints out at the hospital. Holy crapballs, those things must have been up my brain hole they were so ginormous. Good thing it went so fast…or I may have slapped my extremely nice doctor. I have so much less pressure now, which is awesome. Feels like I lost a few pounds!
