Five For Friday 3/20/15

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I was dragginggggg. Days like that, I greatly appreciate my PT’s tough love.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Treadmill and floor exercises.
  • I had an OMM appointment on Thursday for cranial therapy. I told her all about Henry (my annoying left eye twitch that will not leave). She decided to do auricular therapy, or in other words, ear acupuncture. She put 3 needles in my left ear, and they actually just fell out this morning. I’ll be honest.  I was kinda skeptical at first, but I have had the most relief I’ve had in a month after she inserted the needles. The human body NEVER ceases to amaze me.

Five For Friday 3/13/15

I stayed home from school yesterday…to rest. My body has been telling me in more ways than one that it needed some recovery time…and I listened. Maybe I am getting a bit wiser in my older age : )

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I saw my Pulmonologist on Monday. I love when I hear the word “normal” from a doctor. My breathing tests were all NORMAL.
  • I saw Larry on Tuesday for more OMM; ribs, cranial, and TMJ.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I got my glasses back for the third time. It’s true! The third time IS the charm! They do not make me sick. Yesssss.
  • Going on my third straight week of my left eye twitching. I’m trying not to worry. But I’m Katie…I’ve named it Henry. I hope Henry goes away really, really soon.

I have a lot of pics from this week. I am sad I can’t post! : ( Hopefully soon…!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • I saw Larry on Monday for cranial work and gentle manipulation on my ribs, neck, and jaw.
  • 3 Days of Home Rehab. Strengthening, cardio, and more strengthening…
  • I picked up my new reading glasses last Friday. I gave it a week to get used to them, but every time I have tried to wear them, they make me feel really sick. So hi, ho, back to the eye doc I go.

Happy New Year, Zebra family!

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I am starting to need more manipulation on my ribs and neck, so I am thinking that that is a sign that it’s time for me to schedule another prolotherapy appointment.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab.
  • I know it’s technically not the flu, but after Christmas, I ended up getting the stomach flu. Along with my Mom, Allie, and Brad. I am just starting to be able to look at food again.
  • On a positive note, I have been enjoying sleeping more and sleeping in the last couple of weeks!

Five For Friday 12/12/14

Life has been going at a crazy pace, but I guess, better late than never…

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. I have been having increasing headaches, which I suspect is from some neck instability. My PT did a lot of cranial work, which is an incredible help with decreasing the amount and severity of headaches. It may be time for more prolotherapy.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • I saw Larry on Friday. The focus of our appointment was my ribs…I had about 5 out so he put them back in place, and also helped me figure out how to schedule the echo that Dr. Grubb ordered for me. It’s that time again. I was told every 2-3 years, an EDS’r needs their heart checked; mainly for mitral valve prolapse.
