Five For Friday 10/27/17

Short and sweet…

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Trying to come out of my neck flare. Extra stim, heat, and OMM. My jaw is still an unhappy camper. Sigh.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab. Less intense. No upper body weights. Trying to calm things down.
  • Infusion on Wednesday. It always amazes me how my body sucks up the fluids like it’s starving for them. And my nurse is always amazed that I never have to pee. I guess that’s why I need them.

Short & sweet since I’m late, late, late…

1. Medical Stuff:

  • Bad back week. Oof.
  • No Home Rehab. I thought it was best to rest.
  • 1 Day of PT. No exercise. Just OMT and stim and heat. Didn’t want to push it.
  • 1 hour with my beloved shrink.

  • 1 NEEDED hour with my shrink.
  • 1 NEEDED infusion.
  • 1 PT appointment. They worked me hard! Gotta love tough love.
  • 2 Days of Home Rehab.
  • Still having some increased POTSy symptoms like more blood pooling in my feet and some sleep struggles. However, I will definitely take this week over last week. Working on resetting and recovering. Working on me.

1. Medical Stuff:

  • 1 Day of PT. Elliptical and bike. OMM, stim, and heat. We were trying to get my first ribs and neck to calm down. They have not been happy campers this week.
  • 1 Day of Home Rehab. Treadmill and floor strengthening. I skipped arms with light weights since I have been pretty flared.
  • I saw my primary care doc on Monday to go over my blood test results. Good news: He used the word “normal.” I’m not used to that word. ๐Ÿ˜‰ He also gave me an antibiotic and steroid shot for a sinus infection that’s currently kicking my booty.
  • I also saw the ENT for the first time. I really liked him. I was referred to him to get my deviated septum checked out. From his exam, he doesn’t think it’s necessary for him to do surgery. I am going to try flonase and zyrtec combined with my singulair and advair in hopes that I begin to breathe better. Very happy I do not have surgery in the near future. Yesssss.
